Charter Academy students, faculty and staff celebrating the first-ever Prom “Lanterns in the Sky.”
The Pensacola State College Charter Academy celebrated a monumental milestone with its first-ever prom, “Prom 2025: Lanterns in the Sky.” The event, held at the Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio, was a resounding success thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) prom committee.
The prom committee, led by PTSA mom Christine Brewster, meticulously planned every detail, from elegant decorations to lively music, ensuring a magical night for the students. In the days leading up to the event, many student and parent volunteers spent hours transforming the space, contributing their time and creativity to bring the vision to life. “It was truly a labor of love,” Brewster said. “We wanted our kids to experience everything a traditional prom should be—fun, beautiful, and a night to remember.” WSRE’s beautiful venue provided the perfect backdrop for the evening’s festivities. Students enjoyed delicious food from a dessert and snack bar arranged by the PTSA, adding a sweet touch to the festivities.
Sponsors Florida Power & Light and Marry Me Wedding Rentals helped bring the vision of a beautiful night of lights to life. Their support, combined with the tireless efforts of the PTSA, made every aspect of the event spectacular.
Beyond the dance floor, students took the spotlight with fun and spontaneous karaoke performances. Paired with a photo booth and upbeat music, the mix of entertainment kept the energy high and the crowd smiling.
Students at the PSC Charter Academy had the opportunity to experience a classic high school tradition, and nothing was spared in making Prom 2025 an unforgettable celebration. The Pensacola State College Charter Academy extends its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of Prom 2025.
