Three exemplary students from the Pensacola State College (PSC) Charter Academy have recently been recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions, further affirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
Judah Stotts, a distinguished academy senior, has been honored by the Florida College System for his exceptional academic performance, exemplary leadership skills, and dedicated service to his community. Stotts’ multifaceted achievements reflect his commitment to excellence in both academic pursuits and community engagement, earning him well-deserved recognition from one of the state’s leading educational institutions.
Meanwhile, Oceana Emerson, another standout academy senior, has been awarded the prestigious Anna Lamar Switzer Endowed Scholarship, totaling $3,000. Emerson’s remarkable talent and creativity were showcased through a series of impressive works spanning various artistic mediums. Her successful portfolio application, meeting stringent criteria and undergoing rigorous evaluation by a jury of faculty members, exemplifies her dedication to her craft and academic pursuits. Emerson’s scholarship award not only recognizes her artistic prowess but also provides crucial support as she continues her education journey at PSC, working towards earning her associate of arts degree.
Additionally, Saleen Waters has been selected as the program scholar for the PSC Charter Academy, a testament to her exceptional academic performance, unwavering commitment to the program, and outstanding leadership within the classroom setting. Waters’ nomination and subsequent recognition underscore the high regard in which she is held by her instructors and peers, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence and contributions to the overall learning environment.

Finally, we also want to highlight Serenity Jones for her exemplar musical talent. Serenity participated in part of the Lyceum Series at Pensacola State College as a member of the PSC Jazz Ensemble, directed by Doug Holsworth. Serenity played trombone for six songs and sang a solo for a few songs. Serenity has been a member since her junior year at the Charter Academy.
