Interact Club Wraps Up Season with Focus on Community Service

As the school year draws to a close, the Interact Club reflects on a season filled with meaningful community service projects and valuable learning experiences. Since February, the club has been actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at making a positive impact in their community. Their commitment to service was evident in their involvement with the Manna Food Bank, where club members volunteered their time to assemble food packets for those in need. This early engagement set the tone for a busy month of April, during which the club remained steadfast in its dedication to serving others.

Three exemplary students from the Pensacola State College (PSC) Charter Academy have recently been recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions, further affirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Senior Symposium

Pensacola State College’s Charter Academy Class of 2024 recently presented its Senior Symposium projects. The standing-room-only event featured research and a presentation on career options from the 44 seniors who will graduate on May 13. Parents, mentors, Charter Academy administrators, PSC President Ed Meadows, PSC Board of Trustees chair Dr. Troy Tippett and Board Member “Flash” Gordon Sprague questioned the seniors about the projects and plans after graduation.

Pensacola State College, Charter Academy and WSRE-TV participate in Watson Family Foundation Juneteenth festival

Pensacola State College, PSC Charter Academy and WSRE-TV participated in the “Watson Family Foundation’s Second Annual Juneteenth: A Family Reunion for the Culture” held Saturday, June 17, in Museum Park in downtown Pensacola. On hand for the event were PSC administrators and faculty members – Director of Community and Special Initiatives Rameca Vincent-Leary, Business Department Head Michael Payne and Executive Director of Marketing Sheila Nichols, Charter Academy Principal Karen McCabe and WSRE-TV General Manager Jill Hubbs. PSC volunteer extraordinaire Vaughn Nichols also was at the festival to support the College.
