Exciting news for the Pensacola State College Charter Academy students and families: starting in the 2025-2026 school year, the Charter Academy will establish residence at the Pensacola Campus in Building 11, with the current Warrington campus transitioning to a satellite location. With this transition, all students in grades 9 through 12 can be housed at one central location, enhancing accessibility for students from across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
The Charter Academy currently has students from across the region commuting to the Warrington campus. This centralized location on the Pensacola campus will make commuting easier, and it is anticipated that this shift will make the Charter Academy more accessible for students who felt the Warrington campus was too far to reach.
The building was just renovated to house a large number of students, including a large lunchroom, new classrooms, an innovation center, and a computer lab. It was also renovated for teachers and staff with conference rooms, a teacher’s lounge, and new offices.
With enrollment expected to increase, the Charter Academy’s primary application period for the 2025-2026 school year runs from February 3rd to February 21st, 2025. A secondary period will follow from March 3rd to March 21st, with any remaining seats being filled on April 1st. In the event that applications exceed available seats, the Charter Academy will use a lottery system to ensure fairness in admissions.
This upcoming transition marks a new era for the Charter Academy, positioning it to welcome even more students for a rewarding academic experience in the heart of Pensacola.
